The code will sound as a series of blasts on the Fire Department
horn.
For example, if the fire horn sounds as 1 horn—pause—two
horns-—pause—6 horns,
this means the Fire Department has been called to Virginia Farme
Lane.
You will hear three rounds of the 1—2—6 pattern.
Signals for school cancellation or delayed openings
Elementary and Middle School:
Cancelled: 3 rounds of 3—3 at 7 a.m.
Delayed: 3 rounds of 2—6 at 7 a.m.
High School:
Cancelled: 3 rounds of 3—3 at 6:30 a.m.
Delayed: 3 rounds of 2—6 at 6:30 a.m.
Note: Delayed opening can be 60 or 90 minutes.
